Encaustic Enchantment: An Evening with Visual Artist, Julie Snidle and Chef Lacey Conway will be a night to remember!
Julie Snidle, a Fairhope Artist via St. Louis, MO, specializes in a rare, centuries old form of art called Encaustic. Through heat, Julie utilizes pigmented wax paint and creates captivating pieces that speak volumes to the viewer.
Lacey Conway, a Gulf Coast Native, is an accomplished At Home Chef who not only creates amazing tasting dishes but also makes meals that are just as beautiful as they taste. One might say her food is just too pretty to eat.
As a celebration of Julie's new, enchanting pieces currently hanging and available for purchase at Stewart Heath Gallery, Lacey will create a meal that imitates Julie's art, utilizing the recipe creations featured in Suzanne Lenzer's cookbook, Graze: Inspiration for Small Plates and Meandering Meals, allowing you to enjoy food in a minimal, stunning, flavorful, natural way versus over indulgence.
