A workshop in watercolor is an opportunity that offers everyone the space to experiment, HAVE FUN, make mistakes, learn and play. No matter what your level, experienced to beginner, there is always something new to learn. It is helpful if the student has a basic understanding of drawing techniques and composition, but not necessary.
The natural world has been a source of inspiration for artists over the centuries and for this workshop students will pull inspiration from landscapes. The instructor will proved reference photos for students to work from. However, if you would like to bring your own, feel free to do so!
Students will leave with their own painting(s) created in class, as well as information on resource materials and supplies. All equipment and supplies are provided. Over the course of the workshop, students will utilize various techniques, processes including: working wet into wet,
dry brush, working on pre-moistened paper, using mixed materials (such as sea salt and paper towels) to create texture with watercolor, spattering technique, lifting and basic care of materials.
